Unit 3

For my physcial well being I feel I rate a 5.  For my spiritual well being I feel I also rate a 5.  For my psychological well being I feel I also rate a 5.  The reason I have rated myself a 5 on everything is that I feel that we all have room to improve on everything in our lives.  We can never rate ourselves to be a 10 because we are not perfect and at least I never feel we will be perfect.
A goal that I can set for myself for physical would be to take better care of myself.  I would like to lose weight and be in better shape physically which lead to being a being in better psychological shape as well.  When you feel better about yourself your psychological wellness increases.  For my spiritual well being I would like to make more time for myself to reflect on what I need to improve for myself an to improve my family.  I will begin to give myself at least one hour a week to do this for myself.
What I can do to help attain these goals is to begin an exercise routine after work at least 4 days a week.  This will be taking my dogs for a walk after work with my son.  For psycholigical wellness, I feel when I begin to lose weight and feel better not only about myself but physcially feel better, this will improve my psychological wellness.  For spiritual wellness I will set aside 1 hour on Sundays to reflect on my week and begin to improve on what I feel can be improved.
I love these relaxation techniques that we listen to.  His voice is so soothing the music could put me to sleep.  I did this exercise after work and could really feel my body relax and become even more relaxed as the exercise went on.  I was able to tune out all of the background noise in my house and it was wonderful.  I tried to get my son to do this as well, he was not a receptive as I was though.

  1. Tammy, I enjoy the relaxation techniques as well. One time I actually relaxed and fell asleep! My husband woke me up and I was relieved that I hadn't knocked my netbook off of my lap because I was lying near the edge of my bed. I told my daughters who are 6 and 8 about the exercise we did in unit two. they begged me to listen to it. I figured they wouldn't have the attention span for it and I was right. It wasn't long before I heard the word lame. I did a little research online and found some meditation for children which they seemed to enjoy.
